Pre-web Nielsen seems so much more sane than advice-about-the-web Nielsen. Prescient HCI paper analyzing post-WIMP 'puting https://www.nngroup.com/articles/noncommand/

Noncommand User Interfaces: Article by Jakob NielsenNew user interface technologies beyond the flat screen, and twelve dimensions across which future user interfaces may differ: user focus, the computer's role, interface control, syntax, object visibility, interaction stream, bandwidth, tracking feedback, interface locus, user programming, and software packaging.Nielsen Norman Group

Like lots of people I suppose, I think of who I was and what I posted more than a year or two ago to be, on average, a little cringe. More than five years old? A little embarassing. Ten or more years old? A little shameful. On average, of course. So it goes.

In spite of all that, or in order to grow, I've horded my embarassments from various platforms over the years and present them here for your avoidance. This is not a place of honor, and so on.
