Sell^H^H^H^H Drop a TV
I posted my old 27" TV on craigslist. A week passed before an excited buyer came over to take it off my hands. I showed her that it indeed worked wonderfully by playing a few seconds of Sonic the Hedgehog on it, then we unplugged it and carried it down to her car.
We made it to the driveway in front of my building and set it down so that she could open the car door when the TV made a run for it. When we set it down, it wasn’t on perfectly flat ground, and was front-heavy. The TV tipped over onto it’s face and the picture tube blew with a nice BOOMPHSHISSSSSSSSSSSSSsssss.
The buyer wasted driving down to pick it up, and I’m out the $50 I was going to charge her for it. I apologized and carried it down to the dumpster with Amanda’s help.

Jericho doesn't like Myspace
The MySpace and Xanga meme’s have gotten prolific enough that I’ve been asked about them by clients concerned about their children’s online activity. I think any publishing and expression is a great thing, even if it’s just another popularity contest like MySpace seems to be.
It used to be that someone like myself had to snag a geocities account, talk to n3.net about dns forwarding, wysiwyg a page design, and edit it manually. Individuals and bands now have a much easier way to attract pedophiles and stalkers, scare their parents, post nude pictures of themselves, and discover other people like themselves with fetishes for dressing up like a chipmunk in a fur suit with a cape and zoro mask.
Netiquette though… RFC 1855 predates the specification for E-SMTP. The churn of new users hasn’t been manageable since September of '93, some say. Some react a bit harsher.

SuperDemoWorld
I took off today to finish up packing for the move but have been playing this game instead.

It is ridiculously hard - I’m using save-state cheats on the modded-xbox and still getting baffled by a few of the maps. Every nasty trick mario has had to do is required to defeat nearly all the maps. Flying to get keys to hold P switches to make jumps that are only possible by bouncing off a flying turtle where there are moving platforms blocked by columns of impassable stone.
Update: I’ve made it past the third castle and haven’t missed a secret exit yet, but I’m cheating like a fiend with save-state do-overs. The secret exit on Desert World 4 was very lame / took forever to figure out.

Solstice '05
The daylight only gets longer now. Erk pointed out this year that my celebration of observable solar phenomenon is oppressive to flat-earthers. I say humbug to you flat-earthers! You can’t keep me down, geocentrists!
