“Featherless biped”
- Plato’s famous definition of a human. In response, Diogenese of Sinope brought a plucked chicken to Plato’s Academy, saying:
οὗτός ἐστιν ὁ Πλάτωνος ἄνθρωπος
“Here is the Platonic man!”
