After many stubborn attempts to pass and use various pyrex (hiss) and pyrex-imitator (hiss) measuring cups and various purpose built gravy boats (hiss) I've switched to the one thing in the house that can pour hot liquid correctly: my little blue (beep beep beep) hario v60 carafe (snaps).

With it, I can serve gravies and curries at the dinner table quite neatly.
