now that i read novels again from like 8-9:30pm, I burned through 1Q84 by murakami, in july, which was a little too murakami i m o



I’m not enjoying the new david mitchell book, utopia avenue, as much as the last few. lots of cringe music stuff that is essentially boomer fan service (i thought mitchell was one of us?), but the last 100 pages or so pick up, and i’ll finish it today

next: 100 years of solitude

done. nodding along with the ⭑, ⭑⭑, and ⭑⭑⭑ reviews for Utopia Avenue, “what if de zoet forrest gumps through a 1968esque spinal tap?”

I finished it, but, for Mitchell completionists only
