The EFF have sent an [open letter](http://www.eff.org/IP/DRM/Sony-BMG/?f=open-letter-2005-11-14.html) re: this whole SONY/BMG rootkit fiasco.

EFF:

> We look forward to hearing that you are in the process of implementing these measures by 9:00am PST on Friday, November 18, 2005.

It's mildly interesting watching an industry die.
